Yes, I did spend most of yesterday cuddled up in bed with My Precious Fanzine.;P I am about half-way through it now, and most of the stories are amazing - as well as the drawings. I think I will wait with giving specific feedback until I'm done - but let me just say that I haven't laughed or cried so much in a long time... (especially in one day, lol)

I am still behind on reading the fics on my flist, by the way - even though I have hardly been doing anything else at work for the last week.:D Therefore I am also bad at commenting lately - but hopefully that will change in the near future.

And finally, let me throw in some more pics from the trip. Not Nola itself this time, but the vicinity - particularly the magnificent plantation called Houmas House.

The plantation house itself

The garconiere - or "gentleman's quarters" (feel welcome to correct my French spelling, anyone ;)

Me by the pond (this is my best pic from the whole trip, btw)

A random peacock ;)

And now for something a little different - the famous Louisiana swamp

Thank you for sharing the pics from Lousiana. You did so many things in just a few days! I am normally just moving around the same few spots when I travel :D

And what a lovely southern belle sitting next to the fountain!

Oh yeah, our sightseeing schedule was quite intense... It was as though we knew that we wouldn't have another chance to see it all anytime soon...:(

You think I look like a southern belle? *blushes* It's the straw hat and the fake plastic beads they gave us as a souvenir, I'm sure...:D

*loves*

My Beloved Leaf, My Leaf,

It is sooo good to see you. How come it feels like I've known you for years? I don't mean the LJ you, I mean the real, flesh-and-bone you. It's as if you had been my friend since forever, as if I could tell how you're going to move and gesture...

I love the way you dress. I'm not referring to the straw hat and the fake plastic beads but to your style, both in this and the other pic you sent me. I'd love meeting you in person, I really would ;)

Judging from the chat we had last night, we could really go on for ages....

I'm off to reply to your email ;)

Much love,
xxxS.
