I've had years like that, when a chunk of my holiday time has been taken up with having to stay at home for deliveries / repair men, etc =/ I'm lucky that I have enough holiday days that I can usually manage proper holidays as well, but it does always feel like a waste when you have to take time off for a leaking tap or something.
