I spam, therefore I am :)

Just a quick one tonight. I did mention planning to explore a certain German band that plays medieval music in modern arrangements, right? Well, here it is. It's called Qntal. And it's absolutely magical. I am transported to a beautiful place. Take a look at it if you are so inclined.:)

:D

Well, we have the same taste in fiction, so the same taste in music wouldn't be that much of a surprise, would it?...;)

I just don't know how to pronounce their name

I've been pondering the same thing. Can't help thinking they've accidentally dropped an 'a' somewhere... lol.

There are about 7 or 8 of their albums available for download at www.soundike.com. I'm just going through the samples.:) But there is this other similar band, also created by Ernst Horn, called Helium Vola. I've seen some videos on YouTube, but couldn't find downloads anywhere. So if you happen to have anything by that one - especially the song called Selig, which is absolutely lovely - I'd be eternally grateful.:)

Can't help you with Helium Vola, sorry:( But maybe I could tempt you with Faun? They're also medieval, but they sound more traditional than Qntal.

Or Corvus Corax? That's a little more energetic overall:)

You could certainly tempt me with anything that sounds similar to Qntal. This kind of music seems to be pushing all my aural buttons.;)
