eee... what?

I've been sitting here for over an hour, trying to formulate my thoughts and make a coherent post, but my brain feels so disconnected. I don't know what I really want to say. I don't know if any of it really matters.

In a way, I can't believe I am already back from my long-awaited vacation. I still feel like I haven't taken a deep breath for months.:/

I am still struggling to catch up on LJ, especially all the new fiction posted in honor of Viggo's upcoming birthday. There is so much I want to comment on... and yet somehow I get more behind each day. I don't know where to start.

Viggo looks incredibly young on the new pictures from Denmark. Must be the refreshing lack of facial hair.:P I can't believe I might see him live like this less than two weeks from now. But then again, I might not, because I somehow doubt my ability to stand and wait around outside for a few hours in temperatures below 50F/10C. Early September in Toronto is one thing, but late October in Chicago is quite another...

I watched Appaloosa again. Still hate Renee Zellweger, I'm afraid. But Viggo & Ed are both perfect. And so is Ariadna Gil. She's absolutely hot, btw. As some people reading this journal might know, I have mixed feelings about het in general - but I'll take Viggo & Ariadna anytime.;P

This weekend is already over before it started - I work tomorrow (doing overtime again), then have to cook, because there won't be time for it on Sunday (need to visit my parents & do a month's load of laundry). And then there will be another 6-day week of trying to catch up on stuff and failing miserably. *weary sigh*

me too. they seem very at ease with each other, don't they? and i love that she's beautiful but not plastic in any way. i didn't dislike renee in this, and that surprised me a bit.

struggling to catch up
gah, me too. it feels hopeless. i just have to give up on a lot for sanity's sake; there's not really any other option.

Exactly. Just like Viggo.:D

Well, it appears you're not the only one. Roger Ebert said in his review that she was fabulous, or something to that effect (which completely stunned me, btw). But to me she just seemed so... artificial. But then again, maybe that was because the character she played was meant to be like that... There wasn't one ounce of sincerity about her, and it just completely threw me off. In comparison, Ariadna seemed even more appealing - she was who she was and didn't even try to pretend to be anyone else. If you know what I mean.;)

I just couldn't for the life of me comprehend why Virgil did not jump on his horse and ride off after Everett at the end.:P

fabulous? hm, i certainly wouldn't go that far.

it was sweet that viggo wore the heart pin on his lapel to various events afterward. wouldn't it be amazing if they were actually a couple?

Hmmm... now that I think about it, she's actually one of the very few women I could imagine being with Viggo in "real life". Or perhaps even the only one. *ponders*

Hope things are settling down for you a bit. Coming back after time off can be rough. *hugs*

Well... sort of. Though I still have all the excitement of next week to get through somehow... lol.

But I think the fact that I got so sick last weekend was my body's response to the return of the overtime work routine. It was almost like my body said to me: "You still think you need a break?... Well, I'll FORCE you to take one." I could barely drag myself out of bed for three days. But at least I feel well rested now... lol.

I hope everything's OK on your end. *hugs back*

Things are good here. Good luck on Monday and enjoy your visit with Viggo and Akasha on Wednesday!
