ten years, thousand entries
So... it would appear that this is my thousandth LJ entry.:) I should make it special, non?... In fact, I thought about making a voice post - but when I realized that this actually required using the PHONE, I sort of lost interest. Weird, I know - but the idea creeps me out somehow. I thought you could make voice posts through the computer...
Anyway... ten years, 1000 entries. A big chunk of life recorded here. I've been re-reading some of my old posts, and re-living some of the connections I made with people throughout the years. In a way, it's been a hell of a journey through cyberspace.;) I wish I had time to reflect on it in more detail... but time never seems on my side these days (vide previous post).
Today COULD have been even worse than yesterday, btw, since I woke up with a migraine. But fortunately some aspirin took the edge off, and I was able to drag myself out of bed around noon. I made a big pot of chicken stew, and even ventured out to TJMaxx in search for a Father's Day gift (which I luckily found). Strangely enough, I wasn't tempted to try on any clothes this time; but I did indulge in some underwear (which you can never have too much of - especially if you tend to do your laundry about once a month...:P) and a massive Yankee Candle that smells of Himalayan Air (very refreshing).
And here's the latest on the weather: the rains have come and gone, but brought another unexpected temperature drop. It had warmed up since last weekend, looked like it might stay that way - but now I'm huddling inside my fluffy bathrobe all over again. And the duvet, which I had already put away in the closet, is back out (I usually don't need it at all during the summer; I just use the empty flannel cover as a very thin blanket, if even that). I haven't been counting, but it feels like at least the seventh time this year the summer waved a teasing hello and then disappeared.:/
However, the lack of actual summer weather doesn't seem to have any detrimental effect on my summer allergies, which are in full bloom.:| In fact, the past few days have been pretty bad... which certainly didn't help my mood or energy levels. I am taking Allegra in 24-hour doses, but it doesn't always last the full 24 hours, and mornings are generally very sniffy. The itchy-eye problem has also made an appearance.
And now, of course, it is late and I am not sleepy in the slightest, because I languished in bed for so long this morning. *sigh* Still, I have to try and get some sleep...
But before I sign off, here's just a little something to celebrate my LJ anniversary - and my favorite fandom. The very fandom, in fact, that brought me to LJ ten years ago. I believe they need no introduction...:P

I'm glad I'm not the only person who owns loads of underwear so I don't have to do laundry too often :D
It's been the same kind of weather for us, time after time it seemed like some nice spring/summer weather was coming... and then it would turn really cold, or even snow =/ It is nicer now, although still not exactly normal summer temperatures. Spring has been so delayed that I'm getting my spring allergies now, when I would normally be getting rid of them. Annoying =/

My allergies are usually worst in June/July, regardless of the weather. Must be some plants that never fail to bloom... *sigh*
