HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
dissonant_dream !!! I hope you have a blast.:) I have invited the guys below to give you some serious birthday hugs - as soon as they're finished cuddling each other, of course.:D

In other news, I feel very accomplished today, because I managed to clean my apartment AND cook a big pot of food - and I am usually too lazy to do both on the same day, lol (yesterday I did some overtime, then went to get my groceries, then stuffed my face with sushi and decided I was too tired to do anything more ambitious than watching old video clips on YouTube). I might also add I accomplished this despite the fact that it was opressively hot, and my air conditioner only works within a radius of about 5 feet from the window in which it is situated, lol. Yes, the summer has finally arrived - rather late this year, but with a bang, introduced by a series of violent thunderstorms over the past few days. As well as Chicago's signature suffocating humidity, of course. The current temperature in my kitchen is 35C/95F. Woo hoo. And you know what? It's OK. I'd much rather take that than the arctic freeze of the A/C at work. It is quite ridiculous to have to bring a thick sweater to the office in the middle of summer. Makes it quite a challenge to decide what to wear. Short skirts or capris and sandals on bare feet won't do any more, because my legs would turn blue by lunchtime.:( At least at home I can really FEEL it's summer, as I am sitting here in my underwear, sweating profusely.:P
That was a deep and meaningful post, wasn't it? ;) Well, I didn't really have anything to say, other than wishing
dissonant_dream a happy birthday. So I think I'll shut up now.;P
