The building I mentioned is Hotel St.Marie, on Toulouse St. in the French Quarter. We haven't booked it yet, but it's our favorite find from the travelocity website. It's surprisingly cheap, especially compared to how lovely it looks on the photos... *dreamy sigh*
And I have been warned about the heat. It kinda scares me, but unfortunately the friend I'm going with is a teacher, and she wouldn't be able to get a vacation later in the fall... Hopefully we will survive!:)
