Good to know.:D Actually, I kind of suspected you might be like that too.:P
Yeah, I never answer the door if I'm not expecting anyone - or the phone, if I don't recognize the number of the person calling (or just don't feel like talking to anyone at any given moment). If it's important, they can always leave me a message.:)
As for staying up till 4 a.m., though... well, sadly, that is a thing of the past for me. In recent years, whenever I'm not in bed by midnight, I will inevitably wake up with a nasty headache - no matter how long I sleep in the next morning. Could be because on most days I have to be up at 7 a.m., and once my body has adjusted to that, it just doesn't get any decent sleep later than that. So, to me, blissful privacy means being able to go to bed when I am tired - as opposed to having to worry about other people talking/walking around/watching TV etc. in the same living space while I am trying to fall sleep (and believe me, I can be completely exhausted and it still won't happen). It's been a pet peeve of mine for years. I always had to wait for everyone else in the house/apartment to go to bed first, so that I knew I would be able to actually sleep when I do. *sigh*
