i LOVE your whole last paragraph. i think that's very, very much a fabulous action plan, and it's your consistency that is making it work. sometimes i think that being consistent is one of the biggest lessons i have to learn, and that i'll be doing it my entire life. you're inspiring me!
in that vein: i've been drinking water (which i hate) every day (not a lot yet, but i'm building gradually) for the past eight weeks. i can't believe the changes in my health already. i've never gone more than, oh, a week? before, so this is huge for me. what's really great is that i no longer hate doing it, and that i'm actually starting to want to ditch soda for water, more and more. *bounces*
