May. 1st, 2004 05:39 pmRented A Walk on the Moon. It's a good movie, actually. So a nice surprise (I could watch any crap, as long as Viggo was in it). And Vig... well, I am quite at a loss for words. I just had an irresistible urge to knock Diane Lane's stupid husband over the head to get him out of the way... despite the adorable (and quite amazingly well-acting) Anna Paquin as their devoted daughter and all. Viggo didn't have exactly that much of a chance to show his acting abilities... but all he did show was impressive (double meaning intended, yes, very much). That scene in Woodstock, with him covered all in paint and carrying her in his arms... OHMYGAWD. And the waterfall... and when she came to him to say goodbye (the pain and quiet understanding in his eyes nearly killed me, and OF COURSE I sniffled like a demented soap opera addict, no less). I wish that could be Orli - or some other nice pretty boy - in his arms instead, but that would simply be too beautiful to be true. I'm already quite totally smitten as it is. And it's a wonderful feeling...
By the way, I also bought the DVD of A Perfect Murder. Yes, actually BOUGHT a movie with Michael Douglas playing the main part. I still can't believe it. I HATE Michael Douglas. But like I said, any crap etc. And it's certainly far better than some other movies I plan to rent - or buy - later on. As for The Indian Runner, which I went searching for in the first place, it was nowhere to be found, so I'm ordering it from amazon.com. Yes... and then I'm going to watch it every night and drool into oblivion...
