I just got back from seeing Elizabethtown with [livejournal.com profile] akashaelfwitch. And I have to say I really liked the movie. Which is kind of surprising, since I'm usually not one for romantic comedies (at least not HET romantic comedies, if you catch my drift... LOL). Or for typically American sense of humor either. Which it kind of wasn't... at least not the kind that usually irritates me. Anyway... I had fun, and even got a little teary-eyed towards the end. And I really liked Kirsten Dunst (surprising again, since she didn't impress me too much in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and I thought she would never outdo her own childhood brilliance from Interview with the Vampire). Orli wasn't bad either (I wouldn't call him an acting genius, but I do think he is improving), and they were sort of naturally funny and sweet together. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.;) Not least because of Akasha's company. Viggo and Orlando movies definitely need to be watched with a fellow V/O slasher.;) It's perfectly fine to actually drag some "normal" people to see them (*wink*), but it's not the same. This sweet insanity needs to be shared, celebrated and cherished.:D Yay! I do hope such occasions are going to become a permanent part of my existence... *wistful sigh*
