still winter ;)
Dec. 7th, 2005 03:07 pmI should not have complained of the cold before. It is COLDER now. Reminds me of that winter four or five years ago, when I was crazy enough to spend New Year's Eve with a bunch of friends in a tiny hut in the mountains. With no running water, no bathroom, no heating etc. We had a huge old traditional coal stove in the kitchen, and a well in the cellar (which miraculously didn't freeze up). As well as a cute little outhouse, waist deep in snow. Oh what a joy it was to plow out there to pee at 5 a.m., with teeth chattering loud enough to wake the entire neighborhood! *snickers* Actually, I did have fun. We all did, I think. We heated up the water on the stove and took turns washing in a large bowl.;D And the New Year's Eve party was a blast. But I would never do that again.:D
Especially that we almost got snowed in and faced the danger of staying there much longer that we had originally planned to.*shudder* We were SO lucky to catch that bus that almost didn't come... LOL
Anyway... thank God for my thick, fluffy, comforter-like coat that goes down almost to my ankles. I would be SO miserable without it... LOL. And thank God that my car still starts up every morning. *knocks on wood* At least it was sunny today, and didn't snow much. We will see what comes next... *crosses fingers and prays for spring to come soon*
