HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GORGEOUS.:)

You look ANYTHING BUT 48 to me.:D

It must be a lucky day today.:) I went shopping again, and found amazing pants this time. They are made of a nice, thick and warm fabric (a blend of wool and viscose), perfect for the cold season as well as elegantly masking all the excess fat around the hips... they are the perfect length for my (decidedly unimpressive) height AND the perfect design: close-fitting at the waist, with the legs straight and WIDE all the way down. They make me look GOOD (not slim exactly, but not bloated either - and believe me, that is something... lol). And they were 30 bucks a pair!... So I bought three, in three essential colors: black, brown and olive green. I am all set now.:D

Almost too good to be true, isn't it? ;P Well, there is one little catch. The pants fit perfectly, no doubt about it, but the thing is... they are size 14, not 12. FOURTEEN. Shit. So either I just went ANOTHER size up (*sweats profusely*), or there are some major discrepancies in sizing between various clothing manufacturers. There are, aren't there? (someone reassure me, please... LOL) Well, for one, some of the old pants I still wear are size 10, and they don't seem that much smaller. I do squeeze into them, after all (even if I tend to unbutton them when I sit down, so I could actually breathe :P).

Anyway... regardless of the whole sizing issue, I do need to lose some weight. The more, the better. And the only effective way to do this is REGULAR exercise. Not every once in a while, but EVERY DAY. I know this - and yet, I keep putting it off until late evening hours... and then, of course, I'm too tired or sleepy for it, so I tell myself I'll do it tomorrow. And "tomorrow" is often an exact repeat of the same scenario. In addition, I'm hardly ever "too sleepy" for a snack if I get hungry at 11 p.m. *shakes head at self* This needs to change. Where do I find the strength of character to make it happen???...

As for that interview yesterday... I did have a feeling I might get lost on the way there, and that's exactly what happened. I missed a turn (AGAIN!... go me :/) and ended up in some very homely residential neighborhood full of twisted dead-end streets.;P Needless to say, I don't have a cell phone. So by the time I found my way back to where I was supposed to go, I was already about an hour late. But that's not the end of it. On the way back home from there I got lost AGAIN (I thought I knew where I was and wanted to try a "shortcut"... LOLOL). All in all, I drove almost 60 miles. Yeah, SIXTY. And the distance from my place to the employment office was about 15. No comments? That's right. Just mercifully ignore me, please. BUT this time, after I finally found my way home, I actually called the nice recruiter I was supposed to meet, apologized and rescheduled the whole thing - which is a definite improvement in comparison to the first time it happened (when I felt too embarrassed to ever call again). So maybe there's still a light at the end of the deep, dark tunnel for me?... *heavy sarcasm here, in case it's not obvious anyway*

OK, I shall stop now and do my exercise, before I get "too sleepy" again. *heavy sigh*
