Nov. 14th, 2006 08:37 pmOK, it's all settled now. I have accepted the offer, and I'm supposed to start on the 27th. Which means I still have almost two weeks. It's like an unexpected vacation, really, because I no longer have to look at job ads and can devote most of my time to reading & writing porn.;P
Speaking of which, I am about half-way through the third part of my new series, wherein young Estel loses his virginity to Legolas (and it just MIGHT be comforting to SOME potential readers - not that I'm pointing my finger at
akashaelfwitch or anything ;> - that even though he is the inexperienced one, he doesn't bottom :P). It will be much longer than the previous two snippets, because, well, I tend to get carried away when describing events of that nature.;)
OMG I feel so coooool and relaxed now, LOL. And to think that only yesterday I was running around like mad. In addition to setting up that temp job I was supposed to start asap, I also managed to schedule an interview at ANOTHER employment agency for tomorrow (which I later cancelled, of course, just like the temp assignment). Not to mention receiving an email from YET another one that had come across my resume online. All of that right before the call from my prospective permanent employer. I mean, it's either nothing at all for weeks, or everything in the world happening at once, lol. I bet I'm gonna have some more calls from the various temp agencies now that I'm "taken".:P
Anyway... On Thursday I go downtown to hang out with one of my favorite people in LJ-land, and frankly, I am quite relieved that the weather is surprisingly clement for this time of year. It's cold, of course, but still well above the freezing point, and as far as I can trust meteorological predictions for the next few days, it is not supposed to either rain or snow. Which is just as well, since locating an address in downtown Chicago AND finding a parking space within walking distance from it will be trouble enough, I'm sure.;) Oh well. We're supposed to meet early in the afternoon, so hopefully I'll manage to actually reach the right destination before it gets dark, LOL.
So much for a mindless ramble today. I'm off to grab a bite and read some slash, then maybe watch a movie... or finish writing my "virgin Estel" story. Oh, the possibilities... I am a happy bunny right now, can't you tell? :D
