So, this weekend I actually managed to do more than sleep in, buy groceries and cook my food, lol. I didn't manage to visit my parents and give my mom her Mother's Day gift, but that's no big deal, because in Poland Mother's Day is on the 26th - and my mom's brain pretty much still lives there, even though she's physically here.:P So she wasn't extremely disappointed or offended that I didn't show up (I did say Happy Mother's Day on the phone, though, just in case ;). Anyway... I probably would have, if not for the fact that Nancy (Namarie120) was in town for the weekend, and that doesn't happen very often. akashaelfwitch and jades_tempest at Giordano's last night. Which made me realize the last time I'd done that (gone out to eat and/or socialize) was in December. Wow. Looks like I'm really adapting to the low-budget lifestyle, lol. *rueful headshake*

Another thing I managed to do this weekend was watch The Hunt for Gollum. I'd been curious about it, but didn't really expect to be blown away - it's a low-budget 'fan tribute' type of film, after all. So I have to say I am quite astonished by the quality of it. I mean, those people really did go an extra mile to make everything as perfect as they possibly could. ( Read more... )
