Again, just a brief check-in because I feel bad about not being a very active LJ-er of late. I do read my flist, by the way - but I'm afraid I won't be doing much commenting in the forseeable future, unless someone posts something that absolutely REQUIRES a comment. Like I mentioned before, there has been a lot going on at my favorite comm over on Dreamwidth; and I'd rather invest my time in keeping up with that, because that's where my heart is at the moment.:) I have this giddy feeling of "OMG I'm in an active fandom that I actually care about" - and I haven't had that feeling since, I don't know... 2007 or 2008, maybe?... I'm making new friends and talking about stuff that really gets my brainwheels turning - and it's wonderful to the point of scary, at times. This was exactly what I wanted when I was whinging about lacking "mental stimulation" on here a few years back. I wanted people who were crazy about the same shit that I was crazy about - and BOOM!!!... here they are. It's almost a case of "be careful what you wish for", because I can barely keep up with all the posts and comments - let alone the ridiculously amazing private correspondence that has sort of sprung up on the side.;) Speaking of which - yes, I have more emails to respond to, and I'd sort of rather do that than ramble on here. But before I go, let me share a recent music discovery - another "side effect" of the whole thing. We were discussing music that would make a good soundtrack for certain characters/pairings, and someone mentioned 30 Seconds to Mars. Which has somehow slipped my attention until now. I mean, I knew that Jared Leto was in a band - but I guess I sort of dismissed it as another case of a famous actor playing at being a musician (this is NOT a reference to a certain notorious theatre-performing vampire, also known as Monsieur Le Rockstar...;D). Well... I was wrong. He's probably better as a singer than he is as an actor. He has a wicked hell of a voice, and he's not afraid to use it. And he certainly puts some drama into the performance.:) Here's proof - Stranger in a Strange Land. With lyrics. I chose this song because it so clearly evokes my favorite pairing...:)

In case of any doubts, here's a piece of fanart that I think goes perfectly well with it (found on Tumblr):
