At least I would check out the other two places that were not open at the weekend, first. And it bothers me that both places you checked out were supposed to be costier than what they told you on the phone before. Will there be other hidden, nasty supprises somewhere?
Otherwise, I have to agree with namarie. Look for something that really suits you - and tell your current host you move only after you have found the new home, and singned te contract on it.
