I didn't know that. 8| You'd think people would just stay away from it if they don't like the idea, or at least watch the movie first. People's ignorance can so get to me sometimes. I could seriously hurt those people. Then again, it's so cool that the movie was even more popular due to this! :D Serves them right!
Because, among other things, becoming a priest gives them a convenient excuse not to marry, in a society where there is a lot of pressure on pretty much everyone (especially in rural areas) to get married by the age of thirty That's what I was thinking of as well. What bugs me is how people may (and probably do) confuse the gay priests with the paedophilic ones. It angers me so much when people treat homosexuality and peadophilia as though they were one and the same. In the church, where both are still a scandalous matter and must be hidden, it's even easier for people not to distinguish them. GRRR!
