Yes, it is quite irritating. As well as very sad. In a religion that basically doesn't encourage people to think too much for themselves, it seems somehow irresistible to just throw anything out of the ordinary into one big sack with "SIN" written on it in flaming red letters. *sigh* Why should the difference between helpless children and consenting adults matter, if it concerns something that's not SUPPOSED to be done?... *stops herself before embarking on a long, angry rant*
As for the movie... yes, it is incredible. It's based on a true story of love between two women - one German (a typical Nazi housewife, I might add), the other one Jewish - during World War II. I first saw it at a festival of Jewish culture in Poland, sometime around 2000. Then, a few years later, I paid almost $30 to get it from Amazon (but it's worth every penny). It's the crown of my DVD collection.:D
