According to the scale, I gained about FOUR POUNDS since Monday morning. Yep. Ain't that grand? First you work hard for over a month to lose that much, and then you gain it all back in three days, because it's Christmas. Hallelujah
It's probably water retention or temporary gain, tbh. Our bodies are good at adapting and a brief binge won't result in permanent weight gain, unless it becomes habitual.
To be a permanent sort of weight gain that would suggest you ate 14,000 calories above the rate you burn daily (12-14x your weight) and that would indeed be impressive. ;)
It's all good. Think long-term and this is just a short, enjoyable blip on the chart, right?
As for me, I ate way too much over the holidays too,a nd it wasn't even much in the way of good food.
