Heh. Wow. Just... I am really stunned and kind of speechless. To cut a long story short... looks like I'm hired. I spoke to the manager of the whole department today, and she didn't actually interview me, per se - just showed me around and told me about the job, saying that the lady I had talked to yesterday (who is going to be my immediate supervisor) was very impressed with me. WTF?... She might have decided I fit the requirements of the position, but impressed??? There is hardly anything impressive about my "social facade"... especially when I'm so nervous I can hardly breathe, lol. Btw, my current supervisor, while trying to calm me down before the interview, launched into a veritable eulogy of my marketable qualities... It went more or less like this: "You're intelligent, you're friendly, you're hard-working, you're dedicated... you just need a little confidence." I think my jaw just about hit the ground. It's as well she doesn't know what I'm REALLY dedicated to...:D

And now for something completely different... an amusing dialogue between two of my coworkers during lunch:

A: I saw a funny movie yesterday... It was called Hildago. [no, that's not a typo; that's exactly how she pronounced it...:P]
B: What was it about?
A: Oh, about this horse and a cowboy... [here she gave a short summary of the plot]
B: Do you remember the actor?
A: *pauses to think and finally waves her hand* Oh, he's really not that famous...

Heheh. The funniest thing, though, is that I sat right there with them, smirking stupidly, and couldn't bear to open my mouth and enlighten the poor clueless ladies.;) I was seriously afraid that if I started talking about Viggo, I might blush or do something equally embarrassing. Dear God, I didn't realize I still could act like a lovesick teenager...:P

OK, time to go and finish my ambitious computer project. I still have to go through all the Viggo interviews I saved, just to check for doubles and really bad quality clips that are only eating up hard disk space... (who am I kidding???... I just want to watch the whole load again...:D) No matter that there are currently FOUR Blockbuster movies stacked neatly by my side - three from the free trial mailing program, and one I rented at the local store, using ANOTHER free coupon... and I have no faintest idea when I am actually going to see them. So yeah... I'd better shut up now. *scurries off*
