We had our annual reviews at work yesterday. The boss said she was pleased with me and wished she could give me a raise. I know wishing is all she can do for the time being - but it was nice to hear anyway.

Btw, my workplace is hiring for part-time work-at-home positions, and our HR manager was asking for employee recommendations. Which immediately made me think of [profile] akashaelfwitch. She already had a successful phone interview and is supposed to come in for another one on-site next week. I am almost certain she will get hired at this point, but keeping your fingers crossed can't hurt, of course.:)

In other news, I seem to be gaining weight again. Just as slowly and unobtrusively as I was losing before, but still. And I haven't been doing anything outrageous in the feeding department - just little things here and there that maybe should have been avoided, but up until recently didn't really seem to make a difference. Must be the age thing catching up with me.:/ According to WeightWatchers, once you cross the magic border between age 37 and 38, your daily allowance drops down another point. So, if you happen to be a woman slightly over 5 feet in height, weighing less than 140 lbs, and living a pretty sedate lifestyle, you only need 18 points a day. Which is the lowest score anyone can live on and still be properly nourished, lol. I'm not sure what is the exact calorie equivalent, but I suppose it would be somewhere around 1800 - which is the recommended daily intake for small, inactive people, isn't it? Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm consuming more than that - however healthy and nutricious most of it is. It's simple math, really, and I just can't be bothered to do the measuring/counting etc. anymore. So maybe I don't care if I'm a few pounds above my 'ideal' weight. But what if the gaining doesn't stop there? I just don't want it to 'creep up' on me unawares like it did before... *sigh*
