They used to freak me out too, but this is my third year at the same workplace, and I pretty much know what to expect of my boss, so it's not so bad anymore.:)
Yeah, weight issues are confusing, and there doesn't seem to be a very predictable correlation between how hard you try and what results you get, lol. Probably because there are other factors involved that we may not be aware of (like the amount of stress in your life, your monthly cycle, any medication/dietary supplement you might be taking etc.). One thing I've discovered is that eating better makes you feel better, whether you lose weight or not. Of course losing weight makes you feel better too, physically AND mentally, but it's not the goal by itself - at least not for me. It's more of a by-product of a healthy lifestyle.;)
Despite of all this theoretical wisdom, I'm well aware I don't get nearly enough physical activity on a daily basis. I just can't seem to find the time. I probably would if I completely ditched the internet, though. Ah, priorities, priorities... *sigh* :P
