I'm sick and tired of this endless 'digital data collection' project we're doing at work. It was kinda interesting at the beginning, but after so many weeks, I feel like I'm going to barf if I have to look at another website in search of advertising info, lol. Especially since I've been doing some overtime on it this weekend. It was work-at-home overtime, which is a Very Good Thing compared to in-office overtime - but still. I had to look at military and motorcycling sites, for heaven's sake! That's almost worse than cheesy het porn.:P

Another thing I've been busy with over the past few days is of a much more pleasant nature, though. Namely, I've decided to organize my picture folders. Especially my Viggo picture folders. See, I have tons of pics of the guy, and at some point it became nearly impossible to find anything specifc amidst this bounty. So if I saw a Viggo pic that I liked somewhere online, and I thought I might have it already, but wasn't 100% sure about it, I tended to save it 'just in case'. Which, of course, resulted in numerous duplicates - but my Viggo folder was so huge I couldn't even see which pics had duplicates, let alone get rid of them. And being the anal freak that I am, I just couldn't take it anymore.;) Plus I am also planning to save some of my favorite stuff on CD's again, to free up some disk space and not risk losing everything in case of another computer crash (I'm hoping it won't happen for another few years, but you never know - and the next time it happens, I'm certainly not paying $300 for a repair, but tossing it out and buying a new one). So I want my folders neatly organized before I back them up. Anyway... I've been going through all the pics and renaming most of them, so that the ones from the same photoshoot/event are grouped together - which is the only way I could come up with to eliminate the duplicates. I had NO IDEA it would be such a time-consuming project, and that it would make my eyes hurt so much. Looks like I just invented another form of Death by Viggo.;P But, you know, any excuse to ogle that gorgeous face for hours is good enough for me.:D

But speaking of Viggo... he looks extremely sexy on the cover of the October issue of Men's Journal. I couldn't help but notice it while grocery shopping last Friday... so of course I picked him up and took him home.;) (If only it were that easy, LOL!...) Anyway... I just discovered another favorite quote describing his fashion sense: the author of the article says he came to the interview dressed as if he's going to the hardware store to buy a nail gun. That's our Viggo, for sure. Another journalist had once seen him wearing no-nonsense gray pants that a plumber might wear to unclog a drain, or something to that effect.:) Gotta love such consistency in his blatant disregard for the Hollywood image.:D

Also, apparently some men really are color-blind, because the article describes him as 'hazel-eyed'. I mean, you'd think there have been enough close-ups in his recent films for anyone to notice the eye color - but perhaps it's only the women journalists who pay attention to such irrelevant details.:P

I should be getting ready for bed, but I'm not sleepy at all, because I got up rather late this morning. It's the usual weekend dilemma: I get up later than usual on Saturday morning, so then I stay up later than usual on Saturday night - and, as a result, I sleep in even longer on Sunday. So when Sunday bedtime comes, I am unable to wind down, and often just toss and turn till 2 a.m. or so. And then I feel like a zombie on Monday morning. I know the only way for me to get enough sleep is to keep a very regular schedule; but my perfect regular sleeping schedule would be 1 a.m. - 9 a.m, not 11 p.m. - 7 a.m., and I tend to switch to the former whenever possible - even though it's only possible on weekends. You'd think it would be easier to adjust as you get older - but somehow it seems to be getting more and more difficult instead... *sigh*

hii!

oh gosh, sitting and organizing photos on a hard drive sounds like pure heaven. ESPECIALLY viggo photos. i love doing that sort of thing, especially of course, if there are other more important things to be done....

viggo does not have hazel eyes. no. and it's probably a shared sickness that i think he'd be very hot in no-nonsense gray plumber pants.

i am the same way with sleep preferences; i'd rather sleep 2 to 10am. add to that that i can't seem to stay asleep for more than 3 hours at a time and it's rather a mess. :(

Tee hee. Just one of the many unusual passions we share.:D

i love doing that sort of thing, especially of course, if there are other more important things to be done....

Well, that's sort of the main attraction, isn't it?..:P

it's probably a shared sickness that i think he'd be very hot in no-nonsense gray plumber pants

Yes. Only Viggo. Remember the photoshoot for the Mean Magazine? Where he looks like a thug?... OMG hottt.;)

Oh, and btw, a have a series of Viggo pics that I named "hobo", because I couldn't come up with a better description.:D What does it say about me that I even want to keep these pics?... *giggles*

i can't seem to stay asleep for more than 3 hours at a time

I usually manage 4-5 hours at the most, since that's about as long as my bladder can hold when I'm asleep (when I'm awake, 2 hours is the absolute limit - provided I haven't recently imbibed any liquids, lol). So if I go to bed too late, and wake up too close to my usual get-up time, it doesn't even make sense to try to fall asleep again. If I do, it can be extremely difficult to drag myself out of bed later; but if I don't, I usually feel extremely tired during the day. It's a no-win situation.:/
