Abusers are experts in posing as that perfect support and the saviour. Of course that is only initially, they can´t really keep that image up but by the time the false image of strenght slips away they have already made themselves indispensable.

Yep. Add to it extremely wild mood swings I could never keep up with. As in, ecstatic one hour, suicidal the next. I'm pretty sure by now that she had a severe bipolar disorder, but was never properly diagnosed or treated for it. Oh, and also alternating between short periods of anorexia and bulimia. Now that I think about it all, I can't comprehend how on earth I could ever possibly believe that she was the stronger and more mature person of the two of us. She really managed to wipe out every little remnant of my self esteem.:/
