You Are STOP
When you're confronted with a problem, you drop everything else you're doing at the time.
You need to take a moment and collect yourself before you proceed.

Once you've taken a quick break, you're ready to tackle almost anything that's come your way.
But if you're not given time to figure things out, then the likely result is chaos.

YEAH. Pretty much every new, unexpected turn of events brings my whole mental process to a screeching halt.:P And then, after a moment of stunned silence, the wheels start turning frantically again to assimilate the new piece of information and somehow make it seem less frightening.;) I'm not one for quick decisions; whatever it is, I usually need to 'sleep on it' - and that means a sleepless night more often than not.:( But then, once I make up my mind, it's pretty much set in stone, and might take a hell of a lot of convincing to make me change it again.:)

In other news, I just want to virtually hug my flist and everyone else who sent me birthday wishes. I was surprised at how many people actually remembered. I feel much loved and appreciated right now and would like to project some of that love back at all you gorgeous ladies out there (you know who you are :). *sends virtual smooches into space* :D

But your writing is beautiful! It has very unique charm and gentleness to it, and lots of emotional depth as well. Plus, you really know your English, which, in the fanfic realm at least, is so not a given. I mean, there are fanfic writers out there who don't know the difference between 'you're' and 'your', or even 'prostate' and 'prostrate', for Pete's sake - and somehow they don't have any qualms about posting their stories online. Not that that's a good thing... but you know what I mean.;) It's always the good ones who feel most shy about sharing... *regretful sigh*

Thank you. *hugs* That means a lot, coming from a friend. :)

Don't get me started! Lose loose, their there they're... I can't take that, I just can't. If you're not sure, have someone check it out for you.

Sometimes I wonder how we got so messed up *g* I mean, I have so many issues. Oh well. That's a whole other thing.

Thank you, again. *hugs*

You're very welcome.:)

You know, the funny thing is, sometimes an author claims that the story has been beta'ed - by more than one person on occasion - and you still find embarrassing stuff like that. *headshake* Which is basically why I decided early on that I don't need a beta. Because what if I end up having to correct stuff that my beta messed up for me?...:P

I think it depends on the beta. Some can be awesome. Some...maybe they shouldn't be doing it. I never think it hurts to have a second pair of eyes, or even to read your stuff aloud, which I do sometimes. I tell my sister to do it too with her coursework for uni. It works for anything written.

But your last point? That's true, and also amusing ;)
