a silly quiz, and a bit of a rant

You are Orlando Bloom! Everyone in the fandom
adores you and secretly wishes they were you.
You are the coolest of the cool! You have more
friends and fans than you could imagine and you
are super cute!
Which LOTR actor represents your LJ fandom identity?
brought to you by Quizilla
Oh really??? I haven't noticed. Can I be THAT oblivious to what's going on around me, or is this quiz rather lame? (and no, I'm not actually asking anyone to answer that ;P)
In other news, I went to see KoH last night. I truly liked it and was pleasantly surprized by some little details (not having expected too much after the non-enthusiastic reviews I came across). There was, however, one thing that annoyed me: the one and only erotic scene in the film was totally, gracelessly cut out. I mean, it was just barely hinted at: she blows out the candle, they fall onto the bed and... cut. That's it. No more. And maybe I would have believed that's how the director meant it to be... but what about all those LJ icons of naked Balian "doing push-ups", as someone beautifully described it? (was that you, Romi??? :D) When I realized that bit wasn't even in the movie, I went "aaah! but OF COURSE!!! that's the AMERICAN version!!! When there's blood splashing around in all directions and heavily wounded bodies writhing on a battlefield, it's perfectly all right, but God forbid the American public should see a naked breast or *insert horrified gasp here* a buttock. I mean, how insane is that???"
And no, that scene wasn't my main purpose in watching the movie. Of course Orlando looks attractive, but I don't think that such an amount of muscle suits him, really. I much prefer the skinny, boyish (read: "gayish" :P) look on him... but that's another story. I was simply pissed off at whoever decided that such a scene needed to be cut from a movie like this (filled with cruelty and violence). I mean, get real: either show it all, or cut the violence out too - just butcher the movie completely and then throw it away, because there's nothing left. At least that wouldn't be so hypocritical.
OK... sorry to rant like that, but it's one of the things that annoy the hell out of me and make me wonder what the f*** I'm doing in this brainwashed country. And if they do the same to "History of Violence", I'm gonna be so pissed that I may explode. I don't even want to think about it. I can skip a naked Orlando from time to time ;) - but as for Viggo, I need every celluloid second of him that I can get. And being deprived of some big-screen Viggo hotness in the name of stupid, lame principles just screams for revenge...
Ooof... /rant.;P I am tired now. I think I'll go get myself a cup of some nice herbal tea to calm down... *sighs*
EDIT: Looks like I just made a fool of myself. Apparently that scene was cut out not only in the US. Well, in that case... let's say I was in the mood for a rant, so I did. Whatever.
I still don't know where people get those icons from, if that's true, but anyway... there seems to be quite a lot I don't know. And I don't care that much, really. It just seemed artificial and prudish, and that always pisses me off. So there. And I hate US censorship anyway.:P

And there's nothing wrong with having a rant. It's your lj, your space, and it is a good point.
