holiday wish list :)

I've been seeing this all over LJ, so I decided to post my own as well.:) Not that I'm actually expecting anything to happen... just some wishful thinking. After all, that's what it's all about.;)
- a nice Viggo-themed LJ layout (I am totally, blissfully clueless in matters of graphics/html etc., so I cannot do this myself)
- any of Viggo's CD's, or any of his books except Coincidence of Memory (I cannot order from Perceval Press - I don't have a f***ing credit card!!!)
- any old, hard-to-get film by Pedro Almodovar (preferably on DVD, but I'd take a VHS if someone were willing to give it to me for free... LOL)
- the soundtrack to the movie called His Secret Life (original title Le Fate Ignoranti) by Ferzan Ozpetek - now this is ultimate wishful thinking, since I have no idea whether the soundtrack to this particular movie has ever been released... (all I know it's not available on Amazon, though the movie itself is)
- the movie When Night Is Falling (probably the only critically acclaimed lesbian film I haven't seen yet... LOL)
- a trip to somewhere exotic - preferably with no hurricanes involved ;P
- a meeting with an LJ friend - especially
romi,
niennas_dreams,
miladyhawke,
ancabell,
cynical_terror,
matan4il or
crimsonsenya (I am not including
akashaelfwitch or
namarie120, since in their cases it's no longer wishful thinking :D)
Actually, the last two wishes could be combined.:) It would be most delicious if they were.:D
And by the way - in case anyone actually has the goodwill AND the possibility to fulfill any of those... you don't have to send me stuff for free. I am perfectly willing to send a check. That's why I didn't include anything that it is totally within my own means to get. Because if it were, I would most likely have it already.:D
In other news, I have just bought myself an e-book on Viggo! Yep. I had no idea something like that existed, until I stumbled upon it (don't quite remember how it happened, btw). And the website said today was the last chance to get it for $25, since after midnight (not sure which time zone, though...lol) it's gonna be $39. AND they accepted PayPal with no credit card attached to it! So I clicked the button, and now I have it.:) Well over 150 pages about Viggo, written by a fan. Oh well. Call me stupid.;) I wonder if she'll actually tell me anything I don't already know. If not, I'll have only myself to blame, I guess. *shrugs* 25 bucks is not a fortune, after all...
EDIT: Yes, I do believe I am quite stupid. Somehow I never noticed that the same author has also produced an e-book on Orlando Bloom... not to mention Russell Crowe and Pierce Brosnan. Looks like someone is simply trying to make money an easy way... taking advantage of naive, gullible dolts like me. Especially that having read the first chapter, I can't help feeling I could have written this better.:) Heh. Maybe that's what I should do. Set up a website and produce e-books by compiling articles written by others, then have people pay me for it. Unfortunately, I'm not that cheeky... *sigh*

Date: 2005-11-21 05:26 am (UTC)Let's hope it will happen one day. At least we're on the same continent, and that's something already.;)

Date: 2005-11-21 05:54 am (UTC)I actually came back because I went on this odyssey to try and find you music from Le Fate Ignoranti. It isn’t much, but these are the things I came up with:
http://www.andreaguerra.it/html/filmografia/film_fateignoranti.html
This is a page from the composer’s own website, about Le Fate Ignoranti, and it has 46-second downloadable clips from the soundtrack. I think you might actually be able to download the CD from there too, but when I clicked the link, the pop-up kept getting blocked. It’s something funky with my computer settings; hopefully it’ll work for you.
I download stuff from LimeWire, and this is what came up with I searched the movie title. I don’t know if it’s the theme song or if it even belongs to the movie at all, but it is funky in a good way :) It says it’s by somebody called Tiromansino and is called ‘Le Fate Ignoranti.’

WOOOW !!!
Date: 2005-11-21 06:47 am (UTC)As for the other link, my computer tells me that Windows Media Player cannot play this file.:( But never mind - you helped me find the real thing, and for this I shall love you forever.:)))
Wow... this wish list thingy actually works. *beams* I am going to go and fulfill someone else's wish now.;) *hums happily*
Re: WOOOW !!!
Date: 2005-11-21 07:47 pm (UTC)Yeah, the link to that song is hard to open because the song has some weird file extension. Windows Media Player won't open it, but itunes will, if you have that installed on your computer :)
