Wishful thinking, anyone? :D It's certainly true about what I enjoy in a story, but as for deserving that result, I can think of others fitting the description much better (like
And the one below is kind of comforting - only one type of abnormality at a high risk level... lol. And I am well aware of my social phobia. Only I don't feel comfortable in my mom's basement. Any other basement, yes - as long as my mom is very far away from it.;D

Date: 2006-03-23 09:37 pm (UTC)You seem to have a formula in your head that says: "lack of comment = negative reaction". Well, I can tell you from personal experience that this formula simply isn't true.;) There can be many reasons why people (myself included) don't always leave a comment - for example: being in a hurry while reading and planning to get back to the text later, but then being distracted by something else etc.; not feeling "talkative" at the moment and having trouble formulating their thoughts; not realizing how important their comments are to the author and just assuming the author KNOWS they love anything she writes (silly, I know, but there you go - I am guilty of all three abovementioned reasons in regard to many authors; though I always try to leave a comment for you, because you are special to me <3 ;).
And if there are indeed people who don't like what you write - would you rather they told you that? I wouldn't. I'd rather have zero comments than one negative remark. But that may be just because I am a coward.;)
Anyway, I know all to well how it is to feel pathetic (even if you have no real grounds for it in the eyes of others), and you can complain all you want as far as I'm concerned. Sometimes you just need to vent, and friends are there to listen. *cuddles you*

I am glad you let me complain some. Sometimes I feel I get worse if I complain - but in small doses it is a good medicine I guess!
