So, here I am again, after some more apartment googling, whereby I accidentally discovered that it might actually be possible to rent a studio for under $500 a month. It would be very small and completely unfurnished, but so what? All I really need for a start is a sofa/mattress on the floor and a computer desk + chair, and I'm sure I can get stuff like that pretty cheaply at IKEA. And I don't care if it's 400 square feet or less. At least it would be MY 400 square feet, not shared with anyone (I have grown allergic to sharing, it seems). I was just starting to get excited about that when my mother called and tapped right into the vibe by telling me about this cunning Polish lady who helped them refinance the house, and how she might perhaps be able to help me get a loan for a small apartment, instead of looking for a rental and having to share it etc.etc.etc. And that if I did get a loan, but didn't have enough money for the down payment, they - my parents, that is - would be willing to help me out and lend me some. It all sounds rather too good to be true, but also extremely tempting, and as a result my head is spinning so fast I can barely breathe... lol. I bet I'm going to land flat on my ass pretty soon, as the brilliant plan falls to pieces due to some mundane obstacles - like lack of noticeable credit history, for example. *sigh* And the prices on the rentals advertised online are probably out of date anyway... *shakes head at self and skips off for some much-needed rest*

That's right. I don't care about space, I care about privacy. As long as I can fit in a narrow bed, a desk and a few bookshelves, I'll be fine.:)
