Just an assortment of unrelated news today.

1) Some of us who planned on working till 6 p.m. had to stay in the office till seven, because there was a tornado warning in effect and it wasn't safe to leave the bulding. So we just sat there, watching the soot-black clouds roil across the horizon and buckets of rain lash against the windows. The lights flickered a few times, but fortunately the power didn't go out. On the way home, however, I passed quite a few traffic lights that weren't working, as well as a streetlight torn from its high pole and flung across the road. Not to mention the flooded part of a street less than a block from mine. I had to turn back and make a detour of the regular detour (road construction, remember?) to get home (I saw some people actually trying to drive through the little muddy lake stretching across four lanes; but since I had no idea what I would do if my car started floating, I didn't follow). It's gonna be fun getting back to work tomorrow...:/

2) Just a few basic facts following the initial assessment of my weight-loss plan:

My current weight: 163 lbs.
The goal for my age & height: 131 lbs.
My daily allowance: 22 points.
My rough estimation of what I normally consume during an average day: well within the 30-40 range.
Conclusions? Well... um... shit. :{

And btw, a 30-minute walk or 20 minutes of moderately intense exercise (which is what I usually do) would give me ONE extra point. Well, that helps a lot.:/

And, just as an aside - most of my favorite traditional Polish dishes would probably take care of my daily allowance within a single meal. If they were even listed in the Complete Food Companion, that is.:|

But the one thing that worries me most is the required eight glasses of water a day. I mean, I normally consume about half of that amount, and I go to the bathroom roughly once an hour. So if I double the intake of liquids... well, you do the math. I might just as well plant myself on the toilet seat and never get up again.:[

3) On a more pleasant note, I had a most surprising Orlando dream this morning. It was very erotic - which is the surprising part - but also very tender and somehow innocent, which I cannot explain, considering the fact that we were both naked and touching each other in most intimate ways. Still, the touching was accompanied by a very distinct fantasy of Viggo - on both sides. We were basically acting as though preparing each other to be penetrated... by the same lover, and in exactly the same way too (do I need to get any more specific?... LOL). But the most distinct memory I have from the dream is of running my hands up and down his arms, reveling in their sensual smoothness and understated strength (he was lightly muscled, not the Kingdom of Heaven body-type at all - more of an elf-like boyish flexibility, and all smooth-faced too, with no hair except for the lavish curls on his head; very Paris, if you like ;). And of how much it turned him on when I whispered in his ear what I would love to see Viggo do to him... ;D

I wouldn't even mind that much, if not for the bladder problem. I mean, I really don't want to be spending half my day in the loo, you know? *sigh*

believe me, I know. That's why I don't drink 8 glasses of water a day. I already have to pee too often. :P

I hear ya. And I've noticed that eating more veggies & fruits than I used to is making me pee more often just by itself. Which would probably be a good thing for someone who had healthy metabolism in the first place... but with me, so many things seem screwed over somehow.:/
