I know today may not be the most aproppriate time for a fangirling post... but I just have this unsurmountable urge to squee.:D All because of this one amazing, wonderful guy:

He's all the way at the top of the Hollywood dream machine these days - and still, no trace of an inflated ego can be detected in his behavior. He would think nothing of jumping over railings and running across the street in the rain to sign autographs for his fans, simply because they are there, waiting for him. He would speak his mind honestly and freely on any controversial topics brought up for discussion, and yet refuse to conform to the unspoken rule and drag out his private life into the spotlight - or invent one just to please the masses. He would lavishly praise other actors, directors and pretty much everyone else he's ever worked with, but when being praised himself, he would just say a very quiet 'thank you', duck his head like a shy teenage boy, and change the subject. There is so much about him that just makes me MELT... but let's not go into graphic detail.:D I just really wanted to share my excitement about his latest achievements, which I'm hoping to savor within the next few weeks/months. Here's the agenda, as it were:

I know he's not holding hands with Ed Harris here, but it looks almost as if they were, and after all, when some journalist made a reference to Brokeback Mountain, it was Viggo who said: "They cut those scenes"... LOL.

I love this image from the Good trailer. It is disturbing, yes, but I love how much he tells us about this character with one single look. It takes a great actor to get the message across properly, and it also takes courage to do that (incidentally, I also loved watching Viggo play a ruthless serial killer, AND a demented cannibal - so I don't suppose I'm going to have a 'problem' seeing this particular movie; bring it on, I say!...;P).

Judging by the reviews, this one might actually break my heart more... but I can't wait for it anyway. *shudders in joyfully-anxious anticipation*

And then he will be Aragorn again. *swoons* And then there is talk about him playing the protagonist in the sequel to Dances with Wolves. Oh my God. I LOVED that movie, even though I was never too crazy about Kevin Costner, and when I read somewhere that Viggo was actually considered for the role before Costner decided he wanted to play it himself... I almost fainted on the spot. This is such a perfect role for Viggo. Just... PERFECT. And looks like he might get to play it after all...

OK. It's bedtime. End of squee... for now.:P
