Nov. 27th, 2004 12:44 pmBeing a very "fresh" US resident, I don't much care for Thanksgiving, but I bought myself a present anyway.;) I finally ordered Psycho. And Fresh Horses. And surprisingly enough, I like the second movie more than the first. Of course, Viggo-in-bed with anyone (even the scrawny, bony Anne Heche) is always gratifying, to say the least.;) But apart from that, I don't really see the point in making that movie. It did feel like a poor version of something much better (even if I haven't seen the original yet). Even if Vince Vaughn didn't act badly at all. By the way, I thought for a moment Viggo might start flirting with him, just to distract him from following Julianne Moore into the house... but my hopes were unfulfilled. More's the pity. I am sure Viggo would look just as convincing flirting with a man as he does with a woman. His pheromones just spread indiscriminately in all directions...
OK, I'll stop babbling now. As for Fresh Horses, I admit I quite enjoyed it, even though according to all the reviews it's supposed to be total crap. I have no idea if that's because it's not really that bad, or just because I always enjoy heart-wrenching dramas.;) Anyway, the Viggo episode was priceless, but this doesn't surprise me anymore. I think he is the only actor I know who can look so absolutely adorable while playing someone nasty. But I already elaborated on that in relation to TCM3. He is just dangerous, period (and addicting - yes, he should be illegal ;). What did surprise me, however, was that I also liked Molly Ringwald, and quite a lot too. Hmmmm... a sultry little redhead. Verrry nice.;) And not acting badly either. And she plays Viggo's wife... Too bad he's the nasty guy and she doesn't in fact want to have anything to do with him. If they actually had a love scene together, I fear I might spontaneously combust. I like her more than Liv, or Gwyneth, or Diane, or... anyone else I've ever seen in his loving arms.;) Except maybe Andie MacDowell. But I haven't bought THAT movie yet...
