I have seen it!!! I have seen it!!! ;)))
Dec. 20th, 2004 10:30 pmYes - I finally saw the EE. No thanks to my lovely sister, though. We met a few days ago, and I was mildly shocked to learn that:
a) they haven't bought it yet,
b) they have so many places to go and people to see that they will come to stay at our parents' house no sooner than Christmas Eve.
As for my roommate, she was told firmly not to buy it, since she's supposed to find it under the Christmas tree.;) And she said she could wait till then.
Well... I couldn't.;) So I went to the nearest Blockbuster's to rent it. And yes, it's a two day rental. It's 4 DVDs, roughly 2 hours each, and they rent it out for two days. Insane. So of course I didn't have time for the cast commentaries... But maybe that's just as well, for now. It might have been too much...
As it is, I am totally overwhelmed and don't think I should really say anything until I see it all again. Well, maybe just one thing: all the extended Aragorn/Eowyn scenes made me cry (and Eowyn/Faramir too, for some reason). And the Aragorn/Legolas comfort moment after the Paths of the Dead just stopped my heart. And the drinking game was absolutely priceless. The only thing missing was Aragorn sweeping the deliciously inebriated elf off his wobbly feet and whisking him away to some quiet corner for a snog.;) But like I said before - that might have been too much.....
