Breakfast on Pluto
Jan. 15th, 2006 03:11 pmI saw a fantabulous movie yesterday - one I probably wouldn't even have heard about, if not for an enthusiastic post by
crimsonsenya: Breakfast on Pluto. So thank you, my friend - it was an unforgettable experience.;)
It's a movie by Neil Jordan, and I seriously recommend it to anyone who has seen and loved The Crying Game. It's absolutely hilarious, but also very touching - Neil Jordan has a way of teaching tolerance and simple human understanding while he's making you almost pee in your pants.;) Cillian Murphy, playing the protagonist, is simply wonderful - and so are Stephen Rea (who, unfortunately, has little more than an episode) and Liam Neeson. It's a very Irish film, by the way - which equals quite meaningful, imho, despite all the silliness - as well as very, very gay.:P It made me truly happy. *beams* ( some spoilers )
