whatever, LOL
Oct. 20th, 2012 10:20 pmHad my chiropractic appointment this morning. Didn't make it there, because the stupid bus didn't show up on time. I hate you, Chicago Transit Authority. Making me late for work is one thing, but making me miss my acupuncture is quite another. *fumes* The neck is killing me something fierce, let me tell you.:( Luckily for me, I could reschedule for Monday afternoon, since I have Monday off. Otherwise, I would have to wait another two weeks, which would be a nightmare.
Visiting parents tomorrow, since my permanently busy and highly elusive sister has promised to show up. Good timing, since I am almost done re-reading The Vampire Lestat and need to borrow the next volume in the series.:) Actually, I should just pack up the entire Anne Rice shelf and bring it over to my place - but most of the books are huge, heavy hardbacks, which my sister prefers for some reason (I am all about paperbacks, btw - much more convenient to carry around and cuddle up in bed with, LOL), so it's not quite manageable. And anyway, I am a slow reader when it comes to books, because most of my reading time is spent online.:) So I'll just grab whatever fits into my bag for the moment.
But speaking of the vampire Lestat - I had a dream about him this morning. Which, in itself, probably does not surprise you, I venture.;) However, you will not believe what he was doing in said dream. EATING FRENCH FRIES. Because he is, you know, French. *facepalm* Really, brain???... I am severely disappointed in you, and that's an understatement. First of all, I would like to point out to you that the gentleman in question is, in fact, a VAMPIRE, and as such, does not eat. Second of all, he couldn't have possibly eaten French fries during his brief human life either, since they didn't even EXIST in the days before the French revolution.:) Third of all, French fries aren't even French. So really. I don't know what that was all about. *disgruntled headshake* ;) Oh, and for the record, he vaguely resembled Stuart Townsend. Which is not a problem.;) However, after all the fanfic I've been reading, I would have expected something more... to the point, if you get my drift. Like, something along the lines of French kissing, maybe. But whatever. *sulks*
Then again... maybe it was a metaphor, and I did recently ponder an interesting quote about metaphors and allegories. SUBTEXT, you know. (Yes, how anal-retentive of me; pun intended, thank you very much.)
That is all.
