So, I was feeling sort of blah today, but then I popped over on Tumblr and found this. If you've read the books, it will make you squeal with joy - and if you haven't... well, I think it's funny anyway.:P

Interview with the Vampire
Louis: I've fucked shit up. I've fucked shit up so fucking badly. Oh, my God.
Lestat: It's really fun to fuck shit up, isn't it?
-
The Vampire Lestat
Lestat: Louis, you fucking got shit wrong.
Lestat: Now, let me tell you how I began to fuck shit up.
-
Queen of the Damned
Lestat: Wow. Everyone has fucked up shit.
-
The Tale of the Body Thief
Louis: ESPECIALLY YOU, LESTAT.
-
Memnoch the Devil
The Devil: Hey, I've fucked shit up, too.
-
The Vampire Armand
Armand: You've all fucked up shit. /facepalm/
-
Blood and Gold
Marius: I don't fuck shit up, everyone else does.

Feeling all giggly now, like a proper teenage (I wish!...) fangirl. That is all.

Memnoch the Devil fucked shit up for me so badly that I lost my interest in the books for good

Ahaha... Yes. I can understand that.;) Anne Rice's deep and abiding obsession with religion in general, and with Catholicism in particular, can get very tiresome after a while...:P (not to even mention other disturbing aspects of that book, LOL)

I am re-reading The Vampire Armand right now, and I have mixed feelings about it. I do love the part about his life in Venice with Marius (yes, I know, controversial topic: a mature man - hundreds of years old, LOL - seducing a teenage boy... but we're dealing with vampires here, so if we have a problem with controversial topics, we should stop right there, non?...;P), but the rest of it... I don't know. The abovementioned religious obsession plays a huge part in this book as well, because of all Rice's characters, Armand is probably the most religiously-minded one. He basically has the soul of a fanatic. Whether he thinks he serves God or the Devil doesn't seem to matter...

I did read Blood & Gold all those years ago, but I have to admit I can't remember much of it - so it couldn't have been too captivating.:P I don't think I will bother re-reading it at all...
