So here's the latest on my exciting kitchen sink pipe adventure. Short version: still not fixed.:/ I called the rental office again on Friday morning, and was told that I should expect the plumber "probably tomorrow". Meaning Saturday, which is today. Well... nobody showed up. Btw, Thursday night the leak got worse just as I was getting ready for bed, and I ended up wide awake until about 2 p.m., trying to think of some clever way to staunch the flow. Finally, I found some Scotch packing tape in a drawer. It works better than plastic bags, no doubt - but still, it doesn't adhere as well as I would like it to, and the water still manages to squeeze out over the edges. It just takes a little longer for the bucket to fill up...

So I am a bit nervous about visiting my parents tomorrow, since I will be gone for at least 9-10 hours. But I am also sick and tired of changing my plans because of the stupid thing, and I refuse to let it ruin my entire weekend. Btw, if the damned plumber doesn't show up on Monday, I just might lose my cool and tell the building administration what I think about them. I mean, no-one picks up the phone at their office - but if you call the emergency line, they tell you that your problem is not an emergency and to call the regular office number (which is what you originally did, of course). Then, when you FINALLY manage to get a hold of someone at the office, they can't even tell you when you're gonna get some help. "Probably tomorrow" apparently means "sometime next week"... *growls*

Well, at least I did my grocery shopping AND cooking on Friday - and today I went to see my chiropractor, which definitely helped with the stress (she did say I was horribly knotted up, though - no shit, doctor... LOL). But I still haven't managed to get more than 3-4 hours of sleep in one go - and that has to change very soon, or I will turn into a murderous walking corpse. I also saw a very good movie - but I don't have the energy to talk about it now. In fact, I think I'm going to hit the pillows and try to finally get rid of this lingering headache. Today I caved in and took some aspirin for it - but I know that the only effective remedy for this particular type of headache is perfectly natural, and it's called Lots and Lots of Sleep.:) Now that my chiropractor has "ironed me out" a bit, maybe I can apply it in earnest... *crosses fingers*

Oh, and I finally ordered the jewellery I mentioned before. The Etsy shop is called BeautySpot (in case you want to check it out - as I suppose some of you might... especially meathiel ;). I probably won't get it till sometime next month, since it ships from Europe - but here are the pictures from the website:

I can't believe that this is not an emergency ... ugh. Hope the plumber turns up on Monday. You could threaten them with not putting something under the leak - maybe they'd turn up then??? ;-)

Yeah... it may not be an emergency YET, but it WILL be one if it doesn't get fixed pretty soon...:(

Luckily, my sister & brother-in-law volunteered to pester the building management on my behalf tomorrow.:) Also, my mom wants me to complain to the City Hall. She wishes her English was better, so she could do it herself and cause a big row.:P I may not be a particularly assertive person in solving my problems - but at least I have a supportive family... LOL.

Nice jewels! Something to look forward! It't shouldn't take to long to get them, my last parcel took a week and a half - but it went from the US to Europe- maybe there's a difference...

Thanks. I did sleep a little better last night - even though I still woke up after 4 hours to check the bucket...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this nightmare ends tomorrow...
