nothing much
Sep. 15th, 2013 09:11 pmAnother weekend. I don't really have any news, aside from the fact that my boss is doing fine after the surgery, and has probably been released from the hospital by now. Of course, she won't be back at the office till October, so work's been very quiet. I mean, there's plenty of stuff to do, but there's no rushing around and being interrupted by "special projects". Which is just fine by me... LOL.
Also, it's that time of the month, and once again my body can't seem to decide whether my period has actually started or not.:/ I go from antsy/itchy/irritable to pensive/lethargic and back again, every few hours or so. On the plus side, I cleaned the place rather thoroughly this morning, because I couldn't quite sit still and needed something "physical" to do.:P And then I still found the energy to cook - since for the first time in many weeks it is NOT too hot in my kitchen to actually use the stove, LOL (it is supposed to get hot again by next weekend, though). But now I'm all worn out and just want to lay back in my papasan chair and have another Lost marathon or something.:P
I did have one on Friday night, btw - I watched 4 episodes in a row, nearly finishing Season 3. And then I had a strange, disturbing dream based on it. Which didn't really surprise me - the plot has thickened (and darkened) quite a bit by this point, and my emotional investment in certain characters is being put to the test.;) Also, the more answers we get, the more new questions arise as to the reasons behind all the weird stuff happening on the island - especially the creepy psychological games played (allegedly) in the name of "science". And in my current fragile state of mind (PMS!), I am VERY susceptible to dark, twisted atmosphere. I soak it up like a sponge.:/ Of course, there's no way I'm going to stop watching the show until my mood improves. Morbid curiosity and all that.;P
Besides, I did take a break last night to see my latest Netflix DVD (I have the full package: mailed out DVD's AND online streaming) - and what did it turn out to be?... A very depressing film about two young girls in love, who are cruelly torn apart, because they happen to live in Iran after the Islamic revolution. Seriously... what was I thinking? I swear that when it comes to movies, I am a masochist. I go out of my way to make myself suffer...
Oh well. Enough of this pointless babble. I'll check in again when I have something noteworthy to report - or, in absence of that, I'll probably check in next weekend anyway.;)
