Ahem. I hereby reserve the right to release you from the obligation of reposting this meme.:D

As for not having the imagination I have... I would say it's exactly the other way round, and there's plenty of very imaginative fiction available to prove it. But I am not inclined to argue, and hence I shall simply fulfill your wish.;)

1) I don't remember exactly, but it must have been through your writing. Around the time of Dinner in TriBeCa, probably.

2) The hottest, most romantic A/L and V/O on the planet.

3) Your sensitivity. Your inquisitive mind. Your passion for writing, and your ability to 'see below the surface', to appreciate and enjoy the simple things in life that most people take for granted.

4) Sitting across from you in that nice cafe at the Art Institute, amazed at how attentively you listened to my disjointed ramblings.;)

5) See point 2.:)

6) Did you write any fiction before you joined the fandom? Did you always know writing was something you wanted to do, or was LOTR your first inspiration? And if so, was it the books or the movies?

7) Well, right now you only have one that I can see.:) But it is very sweet.;)

OK. So much for now. I hope you're satisified with my answers.:D

Thank you very much for these kind and most interesting answers. This line

to appreciate and enjoy the simple things in life that most people take for granted

was so amazing to read that I have been thinking about it over and over. I hope you are right. I know that the opposite is true, I care (too much sometimes) about small things that most people ignore or shrug their shoulders over. That can be both good and bad. But to be able to enjoy small things in life is a gift and I do hope you are right that I possess it.

amazed at how attentively you listened to my disjointed ramblings

People are very, very interesting to me. I am very glad I have met you and I do hope we'll meet again!

Your questions:

Did you write any fiction before you joined the fandom?
When I was a teenager I wrote some slash, long before I knew about the concept. I even wrote mpreg! All in all I think I wrote the equivalent of 50 pages. And oh yeah, now that I think of it, I have written more slash: when I was in my early twenties I had another brief period of writing slash. Though it shall never be revealed who I slashified *laughs*

Did you always know writing was something you wanted to do, or was LOTR your first inspiration?

I have really loved writing since I was a little girl capable of doing it. But it was not until I met a strong fandom and my two beta-readers that I felt that my writing really took off to become something better than just private scribbling. I owe the beta readers, the "instant commenting system" and of course the people who read my fiction, so much.

And if so, was it the books or the movies?

For the LotR fandom it was the movies that inspired the fiction. I have been reading the books over and over, looking for ideas and scenes, but never has anything inspired me more than the movies.

Thank you for taking time and writing your replies! ♥

Thank YOU for answering my questions.:) I find it quite interesting that you wrote slash 'before you knew about the concept'. I don't think it ever ocurred to me I might be 'into' m/m erotica before I encountered it in books (Mary Renault, Anne Rice). And even then, at first I thought I just 'tolerated it' because the books in question were so well written. *shakes head, chuckling at the amounts of bad m/m porn she has read since then* ;P

But I did write fanfic before I knew the concept. Well, sort of. As a teenager, I made my favorite actor the hero of my Mary-Sue-ish scribblings...;) And then, some years later, I penned some even more embarrassing Mary-Sue-ish scribblings about Sinead O'Connor.:P
