Spring has sprung, at last. For the first time this year, I could unzip my jacket while walking outside this afternoon and just bask in the sunshine (some people are already wearing summer clothes, btw; but this is Chicago, and it is quite common around here to see someone in flip-flops right next to someone in a parka... they can even be the same person on occasion, LOL). And since my chiropractic appointment got cancelled and I didn't have any errands on schedule except for my weekly grocery run, I somehow ended up at the local garden center, where I got seduced by this gorgeous calla lily:

I did want a new potted plant, since my little poinsettia (which I had bought back in November) lost its final leaf about two weeks ago. It lasted throughout the winter - which, considering my awful record with plants, is actually a success. But now it was definitely time for a change of scenery. I also bought some artificial flowers, just because.

In addition to being cheap and very "real looking", they have another distinct advantage: they will never die, and can be enjoyed safely even by the worst gardener in the world.:-D

And since we are on the topic of pretty things, let me show off a few cards from my new Tarot deck:

I just LOVE the design. The drawing style, the colors... everything. I mean, I could have designed those myself. My own style, when I used to draw a lot as a teenager, was quite similar (though not quite as good, I admit... LOL). They have such... gentleness about them. Some traditional Tarot decks can seem rather intimidating in their bluntness... but this one is subtle, nuanced and mysterious. In other words, it was made for me.;-)

I'm guessing you have a thing for purple? And why not! That Calla is an exotic beauty :-)

Beautiful tarot deck. Which is it again? Also, I meant to mention this when you posted a while ago about Myers-Briggs. Unfortunately, most of the tests are not accurate, and a lot of the information online is quite limited. You might want to check out the whole concept of "cognitive functions" if you want to go deeper. As far as your own type goes, I suggest looking specifically at the concept of "introverted intuition," the lead cognitive function of the INFJ type. If the descriptions of introverted intuition resonate with you, then it's quite possible you are INFJ. You made me think of it because "subtle, nuanced, and mysterious" is a very INFJ thing to say. :)

It's the Crystal Visions Tarot by Jennifer Galasso.

Yes, I suspected that the super-simplified version of the test they gave us at work might not have been very accurate. I have always thought of myself as a sort of "intuitive in the closet"... LOL.

Thanks for your input! And which one are you? Would you happen to be an INFJ as well? ;-)

I have that tarot. Crystal visions.  It's very Stevie Nicks.  Love it.

Pretty flowers.

Love the Tarot - who's the artist?

The calla is a gorgeous colour - unfortunately I've got a black thumb with callas ... they never last long here. :-(

The Tarot is called Crystal Visions, designed by Jennifer Galasso.

I've got a black thumb with most plants, including cacti.:/ We'll see how long this one lasts. The instructions said to "water moderately" - but the thing is, I have no idea what that actually means. Every other day? Once a week? Color me clueless. *bites lip*

I water mine 2x a week ... some plants thrive on it others ... not so much. *rofl* But I think calla don't last all that long as a rule.
