Snagged from
stormatdusk:

You are late-sleepy relaxation, the half-awake moment when you realize it's morning, but you don't have to get up, because there's no place you have to be. You are that cozy spot under the covers where everything feels temporarily perfect, even if you know you'll eventually have to wiggle out and start the day. Maybe you're the artistic type, who doesn't function well on a normal schedule. Sleep's important to you, and you like the freedom of sleeping as late as you want (especially since that is closely related to the freedom to stay up as late as you want). You like to roll out of bed, put on some comfy clothes, and get a laid back start to the day. If not everything on your list gets accomplished, no worries. Your only priority is having no priorities – you just want to take things at a slow, mellow pace.
Yeah... that pretty much sums me up. Btw, I took a sickie today, because I have my period and I woke up feeling like a whole load of crap.:/ So I've had an extremely laid back (or rather, laid flat on my back) day so far - even for me.;)
And here's another meme, this time stolen from
akashaelfwitch. If anyone on my flist feels like answering the questions below in regard to themselves for me, I'll be thrilled - but no pressure.:)
1) Are you currently in a serious relationship?
No. Not in a non-serious one either.:P

Writing stories with a plot.
4) If I bought you a drink what would it be?
Something sweet & fruity.
5) Favorite vegetable?
Red onions.
6) What was the last book you read?
"The Book of Salt" by Monique Truong. An amazing novel. I think I meant to make a post about it - but somehow it never happened.:(
7) What zodiac sign are you?
Pisces. A very typical one in most respects, btw.
8) Any Tattoos and/or Piercings? Explain where.
None. I do not enjoy pain.:P
9) Worst Habit?

Sure, why not?
11) What is your favorite sport?
I don't practice any sports, and the only one I would consider watching would be figure skating.
12) Do you have a Negative or Optimistic attitude?
That depends on my mood.:P
13) What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with me?
Talk about slash.:)
14) Worst thing to ever happen to you?
My first "romantic relationship", I think. Or the ugly way it ended when we both fell for the same person.:|
15) Tell me one weird fact about you.
Just one? Oh God, where do I start???...;D
16) Do you have any pets?
No, but if I did, they would be cats. Or goldfish.;P
17) What if I showed up at your house unexpectedly?
I would say: "Come on in, let's watch some porn".;)
18) What was your first impression of me? (hmmm...careful!)
Here's a sweet little lady (that's about Akasha, in case of any doubts ;).
19) Do you think clowns are cute or scary?
Neither. They're ugly and in bad taste.:P
20) If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?

21) Would you be my crime partner or my conscience?
That would depend on what you did.;P

Read slash.:D
30) Do you swear a lot?
Probably. *shrug* Though not more than most people I know.
31) Biggest pet peeve?
Overly helpful salespeople, who won't let you browse the store on your own for five fucking minutes. *shudder* ;)
32) In one word, how would you describe yourself?
Quiet. In two words, too quiet.:P
33) Do you believe/appreciate romance?
Yeah. Especially in its queer variety.;)
35) Do you believe in God?
I don't believe it's possible to either prove or disprove God's existence - so in a way, yes. But I stay away from organized religion of any kind, because it messes with people's heads way too much for my liking sometimes.:/
36) Will you repost this so I can fill it out and do the same for you?
Well... here it is.
And now, time for a direly needed bath.:P

Date: 2008-02-08 12:10 am (UTC)the time meme: i think i'm very much 11:59am too, crossed with the late night one i got. weird. i like that meme.
i'm working full time and teaching my kids full time, so i have so little time for online; hope it's okay to answer just a few of the questions?
2 - to never have to say goodbye to anyone i loved again.
i like red onions a lot, too! all onions, actually.
6 - The Road, Cormac McCarthy
7 - Leo, and what a joke. i'm much more a Cancer in personality (and i'm not on the cusp).
i'll join you in 9, 12, 19, 22, 28, and 29. i'm a homebody like you, too (i work from home, even).
31 - people who try to get what they want through rudeness or intimidation.
35 - yes, but i think he/she/it is a lot bigger and more complex than the traditional guy with white hair deal. i would call myself spiritual, but not religious. no church has exclusive rights on god and it pisses me off when they act like they do.
we have tons in common, which i already knew to some degree. :)

Date: 2008-02-08 03:00 am (UTC)Yes, we have a LOT in common.:)
I love all onions too. And leeks. And garlic. And pretty much all veggies with a sharp, fresh, intense flavor. Especially now that I'm learning to cook and truly appreciate the taste of real, homemade food. Yum.:D
So you're a Leo, huh? I tend to have rather intense relationships with Leos.;) (in both good and bad way, in case you're wondering :P)
I so wish I could work from home... *sigh* Though if I did, I would probably never see another human face for weeks on end, and might eventually turn into some kind of scary, mute, hermit creature.:P
Totally with you on the God thing. Not a guy with a white beard sitting on a cloud.;) And definitely not some close-minded, tyrannical homophobe, as some people seem to imagine. *shudder*
So should I read "The Road" before the movie is done, to prepare myself for the trauma, or does it make more sense to wait?...;)

Date: 2008-02-08 03:31 am (UTC)that's exactly why i read it now; so i'd be able to deal with the film. it's stunningly well-written, but there's no sugar coating it; it's an overwhelming subject and it affected me a lot. i'm glad i read it now, though.
