another drabble

I honestly don't know how I find the time to do this, but I wrote another drabble. This one is 200 words. I am not completely satisfied with it, but somehow I haven't been able to make it better, so here it is. For anyone who has a minute or two to spare and feels like taking a look.;)

He thought nothing could surprize him any more.
He thought he knew everything about life and his own desires.
He thought calm, detached and self-sufficient was the right way to be.
He was in no hurry to find true love. He could wait forever. He was immortal.

But when the stormy blue-gray eyes of the Man pierced his soul, all his convictions shattered within a moment.
Suddenly he was desperate to know the meaning of passion, to experience it as deeply as possible - before he is deprived of his only chance of fulfillment by the cruel threat of mortality.

And when he found himself in the Man's fervent embrace, his legendary elven composure abandoning him faster than the clothes torn carelessly from his body, he knew that no matter how many centuries he would live after that, the peak of his existence was now. Yes, now - as he lay beneath the heavy weight of his mortal lover, naked in flesh and soul, needy and vulnerable. How had he endured so long without it? How soon will he lose it again?

One thing was certain - no matter how fleeting men's lives might seem, this one was already immortal within his heart.
