Firstly, HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY TO MY FAVORITE MAN.:D

Here is a little piscpam to celebrate a quarter century of great acting - I don't have good pictures of all my favorite roles, but I tried to pick ones that show some of the more striking incarnations he has assumed over the years...





















Secondly, I didn't go to see my parents this weekend after all. I came down with a nasty cold on Saturday night, and have spent most of the time since then in bed. It doesn't seem to be anything more serious than a sinus infection, but it's bad enough to make me feel weak and dizzy. A mug of Theraflu makes it bearable for a few hours, but I honestly didn't know my body was even capable of producing that much mucus. It's absolutely disgusting. As well as the last thing I needed right now. Though I guess I should be glad it happened this week, as opposed to the next one, for example. *shudder* Still, I don't have that many sick days left, and I still might need two or three for menstrual occasions (even though I've been lucky enough for the past few months to get my period on weekends). So if I don't get better tomorrow, there will be a problem (I have also pretty much used up all personal and vacation time so far, so no help there). And since I'm taking time off next week as well, I won't be getting any overtime pay in the near future (even if my boss does ask me to come in on Saturdays, it won't count as overtime). Not to mention that it doesn't help with catching up on emails/LJ stuff either, because I simply don't have the strength to sit at the computer. I basically just dragged myself out of bed to make this post, and I'm very much inclined to get horizontal again as soon as it is done... *sigh*

oh, i'm sorry you're miserable. i haven't had a cold in ages and i'm hoping that continues. let me just tie on my breathing mask and put on some gloves and i'll be right over to fluff your pillows and get you some soup.

I am much better - just sniffing a bit. But I pretty much always sniff throughout the cold season (that is, from September till April), so it's nothing out of the ordinary.;)

But speaking of Viggo... are you back from Denmark? Did you see him? Did you talk to him? How was it?...

I just read an account of the event on idrillia_fic's LJ, and there was a link to some YouTube videos, and I saw some familiar faces there too: widdershin and owlgrey, and even a glimpse of Nancy. But I didn't spot you, though I'm assuming you were with them.:)

If you're not willing to share the experience on a public forum (not that terribly many people read this journal, lol), you can email me about it, of course. *hint hint* ;)
