So... good things today, because you just have to focus on the good things sometimes. *nods*

1) Viggo at the Empire Awards 2009 and his very clearly Jameson's-inspired acceptance speech.;D With an equally plastered Bean grinning wolfishly at him, patting him on the back and passing him the bottle for good measure.:] I may not be a VigBean girl, but those guys are just begging to be slashed. Especially Viggo. He could just as well be carrying around a huge rainbow flag, instead of his San Lorenzo one.:P I mean, who else would come up with the idea of Aragorn changing Boromir's diapers???... *chortle*

Btw, that seems to be a recurring theme, since in that Australian interview a few days ago he had talked about throwing diapers at Al Pacino in Carlito's Way.:D Would that perhaps indicate a propensity for unusual kinks or something?.....;P (sorry, Viggo - I just couldn't resist; such twisted sense of humor is contagious)

Anyway... here's visual evidence of our men of Gondor's obvious intoxication. I love that boyish smirk.;]

2) [personal profile] stormatdusk made me more icons! *points* That woman just KNOWS what I like.:P *feels special*

3) Acupuncture. As it turns out, my chiropractor is also an acupuncturist, and last Saturday she stuck a bunch of needles into the tight muscle knots at the base of my neck. It didn't hurt one bit - I barely felt them at all - and the relief was clearly noticeable. Both knots loosened up considerably, and since then I feel just a little soreness, as opposed to acute discomfort. So yay! for Eastern medicine, and I'm totally looking forward to being punctured again.;P

I am loving Viggo being all over my flist again :D

Also, I really hate needles but had acupuncture for years and it really does help. And it doesn't hurt!

So am I.:D

And I hate needles too, but fortunately I was lying face down and couldn't see what was happening behind my head, so I just pretended there weren't any sharp pointy objects imbedded in my skin.;)

I was generally face up but was okay until I had to have them near my eyes. That freaked me out. But mostly I was okay, and my one rule was no needles in my right knee (I have no kneecap because I dislocated it and had to have it removed and the thought of a needle in there just made me feel ill) and she always respected that, so that helped. Why am I talking about this? *g*

Near your eyes???... Oh God NO. *freaks out too*

You have no kneecap?... Can you walk without a kneecap?... (stupid question, probably, but I am so clueless in medical matters)

Why am I talking about this? *g*

Possibly because you have a rambly, stream-of-consciousness brain, just like me. Or Viggo.:P

I can't wear contacts because things near my eyes freak me out. I was a little tense ;)

Yes, you can. Because I was only 18, they didn't want to put a fake kneecap in because I would've probably gotten arthritis. Basically there is a tendon that runs over the front of your knee and it holds the kneecap in place, and now it's not there, the tendon runs in the grove of my various leg bones (it's Monday morning, I'm now down with all the technical words *g*). Pretty much I just can't kneel on it, because there's nothing there, just a squishy fat pad and it hurts to kneel. Also, if I hit it, I cry like a baby. Sometimes I wish I did have a fake one, but whatever.

Mmm, I like our brains. Viggo's especially. :D

Same story here. I can't even do much makeup around the eyes. Eyeliner makes me cringe.:D

I'm sorry about your achy knee. *rubs soothingly*

And ditto on Viggo's brain, LOL.

I hear that. I had to have eye drops once. It did not go well. That's all I'm saying.

Thank you. :) It's not too bad now.

Mmm, Viggo's brain is a treasure trove of insanity and crazy and awesome. I love it. He is truly one of a kind.

Strangely enough, eyedrops are OK for me. Especially the anti-allergy ones that I use. They are soothing (and also help relieve the strain of staring at a computer screen all the time). And during the summer, it's usually either the drops, or me inflicting abuse on my eyes by rubbing and scratching at them wildly, until they're all red and swollen (and I can seriously forget makeup then, LOL).

treasure trove of insanity

I really love that expression.:D

See, I don't have allergies, so I guess I'm not used to the drops. I'm such a wuss. Wow, it sounds like you have problems with allergies.

It's very Viggo, I think. :D

Yeah, I'm allergic to pretty much anything that floats in the air - like dust, pollen, animal fur etc.etc.etc. But usually it's not too bad. It gets worse in the summer, because apparently I'm also allergic to intense sunlight. It makes my eyes water, and then I start rubbing at them, and then they start feeling itchy and even more watery, so I rub at them more, and... one time (during a summer trip to Greece) I actually ended up having to go to a hospital, because I thought there was something stuck in my eye - while in fact I had just rubbed it so much that it swelled really badly.:( So yeah, if I ever go to Greece (or some other extremely sunny place) again, I'll make sure to bring my eyedrops, sunglasses and a big straw hat.:D
