here's someone who says it like it is

Just a link tonight. An excellent article that perfectly sums up my present outlook on the world in general and the USA in particular. Not an uplifting vision by any stretch, but sometimes brutal honesty is refreshing. And I find the vicious sarcasm refreshing too.

Long article, I know, but totally worth it - even if it is, to some extent, stating the obvious. That's precisely the kind of reading material that keeps me awake all those long hours at work.;) (Reading porny fanfic at the office might be too risky, but anything else is fair game, as far as I am concerned - especially if it prevents me from nodding off while staring at the database...:P)

Date: 2010-03-05 11:39 am (UTC)Ok, big changes (do I EVER stay put??!!). Michael and I have split up and, though it was very hard at the beginning, I think we have done the right thing.
At the moment, I'm doing 'virtual' sex on Skype with an ex-boyfriend (21 years ago, at the time I was 17 and he was 14!!!) and we might meet up soon to do it 'for real' :)
On the work front, I'm still doing a rather boring job (admin), but hoping to move back to teaching English after I've finished the DELTA course (it's one of those teaching qualification from Cambridge), that I'm doing online at the moment.
Unlike you, I loath being on my own (I need a relationship like HELL!!). The good news is that one my Italian cousins is coming to stay with me for a while to practice English and look for a job here :)
This, in short, my news. I'm not in the slash world anymore (as you might have noticed...;)), but I do often miss it! and miss the wonderful people I met through it. Unfotunately, at the moment, with the DELTA course going on, I have little time for...anything!!! :P
Hope you had a great birthday :)

Well, it doesn't seem like you're in any danger of being left on your own. Gorgeous Italian women are always in high demand.:D

You are being missed as well.:( But people have different priorities at different times in their lives. I hope the teaching course gives you the kind of professional fulfillment you want. And who knows... maybe you'll come back to the slash world at some point?... (I'm pretty sure I'll still be here years from now, so take your time, LOL)
