Rented The Prophecy. A weird movie, to say the least. And rather crappy, all things considered. But the 5 minutes or so, when Viggo appears on the screen, are well worth sitting through the entire dubious spectacle. I mean... the guy just blows my mind. He is there for 5 minutes, and he makes a greater impression than anyone else in the whole movie, Walken included (and if that's just my subjective opinion, well, I can only speak for myself anyway, correct?;). He is just too good at being wicked and sarcastic. He probably makes an even better Lucifer than De Niro in Angel Heart (though I'd have to refresh my memory on that one, I saw it many years ago). Which somehow also brings me to the conclusion that he would have made a great Lestat... Now it's too late, obviously, but if someone had thought about it 20 years ago... Not that I mind Tom Cruise - or Stuart Townsend, for that matter - I think they were both brilliant, each in his own way; I just can't help picturing Viggo with that wicked grin upon his face... What a loss. He could still make a great Marius, though. He always looks at least 10 years younger than he is, so that would be just fine. Hell yes. And Orli would make a very nice Armand.;) So here we go. I am a casting genius. I just seriously doubt that anyone would take the hint...
